Tucked into the jungle on Sri Lanka’s south coast, The Kip is a slow, soulful hideaway filled with surf breaks, sunshine, and a beautifully curated sense of calm.
Back in 2017, founder Phoebe came to me with a vision; a boutique boho-luxe stay that felt relaxed, conscious, and full of character. Together with her partner Seddy, she wanted a brand identity that felt raw and grounded, with a nod to travel and adventure, something that looked like it had always existed.
We landed on a minimalist text logo inspired by vintage passport stamps - perfectly imperfect, sun-worn, and soulful. It’s since become the heart of a brand that’s been featured in Vogue and continues to capture imaginations around the world.
The result: An understated identity that reflects the essence of The Kip: slow, simple, and beautifully curated.
